Correct Gooseneck Hitch Adapter for Grand Design Reflection 295RL

Question:

I am interested in this goose neck hitch, I have a 2022 Ram 2500 6.4inch bed and wanted to see if this would work with my camper. I think its a Lippert 1621 king pin, if so this should work and be a direct fit for my unit? What issues will I have with install ? Other than the weight of the unit? And will it fit with the shorter box on my truck ?

The Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box part # GY58GR is designed for a trailer with the Lippert 1621 pin box pattern and a pin weight between 1,500 lbs - 3.500 lbs so as long as your trailer meets both these requirements it will be a great fit. The pin box weighs around 100 lbs so you'll need a few extra sets of hands to get the old one out and the new one in place.

In regards to truck bed length compatibility, these direct replacement fifth wheel to gooseneck adapters are really made for long bed trucks but many still use them with their short bed, you just need to be extra careful on your turning clearance and measure beforehand to see what you'd have. Unfortunately, every trailer will be different so the only way to see how much turning clearance you have would be to measure. I have attached some dimensions below.
