Do You Have To Replace Trailer Slipper Springs With The Same Amount of Leaves On The Spring?
Published 09/14/2022 >
Question:
Can I replace a 2 leaf slipper spring with a 4 leaf slipper spring?
asked by: Kevin
Helpful Expert Reply:
You can replace your 2 leaf slipper spring for a 4-Leaf Slipper Spring # e69SR as long as it matches the size your trailer requires and you replace all of the springs on your trailer. This spring is 1-3/4" wide, 24-5/8" long and has a radius end. It has a weight rating of 1,000lbs for a 2,000lb axle capacity. You will find on springs with more leaves that the suspension moves easier and they tend to not bounce as much as trailers with less spring leaves.
