Question:
Hi, I have a 2013 Nissan Frontier Pro-4x. The manual states type S chains only but I see you guys have videos of the Thule XB16s on a 2012 Frontier Pro-4x. Type S seems excessive given the rear clearance but do you guys know anything about the fit on a 2013? The only things I see on the site for my model that are type S are cables or fabric. My tires are 265/75/16 Thanks

I did an online research of your 2013 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X. The manual does state that your vehicle is rated for Class S snow chains only. this is due to the minimum clearance on the sidewall when chains are being used. Many times oversized tires are used on vehicles which would significantly reduce the clearance between the tire and the wheel well of the vehicle. I have linked you to an article that helps explain snow chains.
I would recommend the Titan Chain Tire Chains for the 2013 Nissan Frontier, part # TC2526. These chains are made of heavy-duty manganese nickel alloy square links, and have rubber tensioners that let you control the fit of your chains. I have linked you to our product page of snow chains for a 2013 Nissan Frontier that are Class S compatible.
