Recommended Companion Slider for a 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 w/ a 6-3/4 Foot Bed

Question:

Looking at Model RVK3775 Companion Slider for oem puck system on 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 7 3/4 bed. Can I use a 1/4inch thick rubber bed mat under the hitch if I cut out the 4 holes where hitch attaches in the pucks? Is there any clearance between the bed of truck and the bottom of the hitch when it is secured in truck?

I would be happy to help you. Let me start by confirming that the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package item # BWRVK3775 will fit the puck system on your 2022 GMC Sierra 3500. You will be able to use a 1/4" thick bed mat underneath the hitch so long as you cut out where the hitch mounts in your factory pucks.

I have linked a picture below that will show you how little clearance there is between the bottom of the slider base and the bed of your Sierra. You will be able to run a rubber mat beneath your hitch but most likely will not be able to fit one under the base rails so you will need to make an H shaped cutout. It is common for customers to cut into spray in bed liners and bed mats to accommodate their 5th wheel hitches.
