Hello, I will soon be in the market for a roof rack for my car. I believe that when I buy this system I will still be in the need of additional equipment to be able to secure a mountain bike on top of my car? If so, what else would I need?

We do offer some roof racks for your 2010 Hyundai Genesis.

If you have no existing side rails on your vehicle I would recommend the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Roof Rack by Rhino Rack. This kit consists of two part numbers. The Rhino-Rack Vortex roof rack has the 2 black aerodynamic 49 inch crossbars # RRVA126B-2, and 4 Rhino-Rack Vortex Series legs, # RRRLKVA, that mount to your roof with the vehicle specific clamp kit, part # DK026.

I would recommend the Rhino-Rack MountainTrail Rooftop Bike Carrier - Fork Mount, part # RBC035, for your Genesis. This rack is made of corrosion resistant aluminum and has integrated locks which secure your bike to the rack, helping deter theft. It is adjustable and will fit bikes of almost any length and style. It has a weight capacity of 35 lbs, so you will want to make certain the weight of your bike with the front wheel removed does not exceed the capacity of the bike carrier.

You will want to consult your owners manual or check with your dealership to find the roof weight capacity of your Hyundai Genesis, and make sure the weight of the rack and bike rack and bike do not exceed the capacity.
