Why Are My Kwikee 25 Series Steps Working Oppositely?

Have a Kwikee series 25 stair assembly on my RV. strpped on motor and replaced it. Now stairs go out when door is closed and in when open. Do I need a new controller assembly?

It actually sounds like door switch, which controls the opening and closing of the stairs, is the problem.
If you have the Replacement Magnetic Door Sensor for Kwikee Electric RV Steps # LC369299 currently, which is a normally open circuit, then I recommend replacing with the normally closed circuit sensor # LC374198.
This would affectively reverse the polarity and allow your steps to work properly again.
