Can The Marlboro Continuous Hinge Be Cut Down To Fit Different Lengths

Question:

I have a vertical application where I am hanging a heavy mirror with large wood frame to a wall, for it to swing out like a door. Im confident this will take the weight 55 lbs. However, i only need 65 inches in length. Can i cut the bottom as long as that stays pointed down towards the floor - the pin? Thank you in advance

Yes, the 6" Wide Continuous Hinge # MA52VR is able to be cut down. I recommend removing the pin and cutting each piece separately. When you place the pin back in you can use a hole punch to taper in the bottom pin holder just a bit so that it doesn't wiggle down with any road vibration.
