The gooseneck hitch has an easy, one-person installation with included custom mounting kit. The hitch has a carbide black powder coated steel which is durable and corrosion resistant.
The hitch has a gross towing weight up to 30,000 pounds and has a tongue weight up to 7,500 pounds. I would recommend checking your vehicle's manual to find the proper towing capacity of your vehicle.
The Adapter plate # C16220 (sold separately) allows for 5th-wheel towing. The offset hitch ball # C602 (sold separately) creates additional space between the truck cab and trailer.
If you're towing a gooseneck trailer then it would be helpful to add a 7-way harness to your truck bed using The Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole Plug # HM42137.
