The Winch Ratchet Repair Kit by Dutton-Lainson # DL70475 (6294) will unfortunately not work with your older Dutton-Lanison 1800 model winch.
This repair kit is designed to work with DL1800A, DL1802A, DL2000A, DL2102A, DL2500A, and DL3200A manufactured after 1999.
The best recommendation I can offer is to upgrade to the newer Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL14627.
This winch is similar to your current Dutton-Lainson 1800 winch, with a 1,800-lb capacity, has high carbon steel-treated gears, and is made in the United States.
