The SuperSprings Coil SumoSprings would be an excellent addition to your 2010 Subaru Outback Wagon to help reduce sag when you are carrying your motorcycle. Once the SumoSprings are installed, they will not raise the rear of your Outback. They are simply there to keep the rear coil springs from compressing as much when there is a load.

To answer your second question, the difference between the SumoSprings, part # CSS-1069R and part # CSS-1094R, are their size. The number in the part number actually designates the size of the SumoSpring. For example, part # CSS-1094R is a Rear spring that is 1.094 inches tall. The SumoSpring, part # CSS-1069R, is a Rear spring that is 1.069 inches tall.

According to SuperSprings, if your Outback has the H6 engine, then you will want part # CSS-1069R. If your Outback does not have the H6 engine, then you will want part # CSS-1094R.

When installing the Coil SumoSprings, it is best to raise the vehicle and set it on jack stands so the suspension is hanging. This will give you the most room to work with in the coil springs. You may also find it easier to remove the rear wheels. I have a few tips that you may find helpful when installing these springs. If you apply soapy water to the coils, you will have an easier time slipping the coil inserts between the coils. Also, there will be an overlap of the Coil SumoSprings. The ideal amount of overlap is 1/2 inch to 1 inch. If you have an overlap greater than 1 inch, you can use a utility knife to cut the spring down to the appropriate size.
