Question:
I have a 2013 Malone MicroSport trailer with narrower bars than I need. I have 4 Grumman 17foot canoes I want to transport on the cross bars. The total weight of the canoes is 340 lbs, well under the trailers hauling capacity. They are roughly 34inch wide at their widest points. In the past I have hauled 2 of these canoes side by side on a Thule rack on top of my Sequoia with the 78inch Thule square bars, which are no longer made. I essentially want to do that on the trailer, but then run a pair of 2 x 4s across them with grooves routed for keels/gunwales to prevent slipage and add 2 canoes on top of the other canoes. Which of these 2 bar sets is stronger - the Malones galvanized bars MPG4001 or the Innos IN436L? I read somewhere that the Malones have a capacity of 375lbs and the Innos 220lbs, but want to confirm the Malones are the way to go. Thanks!

You are indeed correct, the Crossbars for Malone MicroSport Trailers # MPG4001 for the Malone MicroSport Trailer # MPG460G & the Malone MicroSportXT Trailer # MPG460XT does have a combined weight capacity of 375-lbs.
Compared to the Inno Square Crossbars # IN436L that you are interested in, which has a maximum weight capacity of 220-lbs, the Malone crossbars are the much better option.
Additionally, the Malone Crossbars measure 78" long and are 1-1/4" wide.
I have also included a couple of videos for you to check out as well.
