Can A 215/75/14 Trailer Tire Replace A 205/75/14 Trailer Tire?

Hi, the tires on our unit is 205 75 D14. We are having trouble finding replacements can we use 215 75 R14 instead? It would be full assembly with new rim as well.

Yes, you can use a 215/75/R14 tire like item # AM32195 to replace a ST205/75R14 tire and wheel like item # AM34659. The 205/75/14 tire has a 26.14 inch diameter and a 7.99 inch section width while the 215/75-14 has a 26.8 inch diameter and a 8.5 inch section width. The difference is 1/4 inches. We recommend having about 2 inches of tire to trailer frame clearance and then about 4 inches of tire to fender clearance to account for the suspension travel on your trailer.
