To replace the connector on your trailer, you will first need to confirm which connector you have on your truck. If you look at the Wiring FAQ article I have linked to, you can see the most common trailer connectors. The most common trailer connector that would be found on a pickup truck would be a 7-way blade style, like the # PK11893 you referenced. If this is what you have on your truck, you can go with a trailer side plug like part # HM48510. If you want a plug and lead combination, you can use a molded plug, which is available in a three foot length like part # H20042 or a 8 foot length like part # H20046. To connect a molded plug and lead, typically a junction box like part # 38656 would be used. Keep in mind that the molded plugs use a different than usual wire color code. The color code is listed on the product pages that I have linked you to.
I have also linked you to an installation video showing the junction box being installed, along with other videos that you might find helpful.
