How to Fix Loose Foot Pad on Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack
Updated 07/26/2022 | Published 07/23/2022 >
Question:
Hello. I bought a set of Malone MPG215 Aero crossbars in 2018 for my Subaru and I just noticed one of the mounting gaskets seems to be different than the other 3 and it has a crack/opening. The pictures linked below show the difference. I dont think this is a problem - it still seems secure. I was only wondering if this could mess up the mount over time and if I need to do anything about it?

Thank you for reaching out and for sending the photos of the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack # MPG215 installed on your 2018 Subaru.
The piece you're showing is the foot pad and even though you have it secured down I recommend removing the roof rack so you can remove that foot pad and then slide it back into place. When I reached out to my contact at Malone they said this happens from time to time during the shipping process but you can easily slide the foot pad back in place (see attached image).
