Question:
Looking to get rear air springs 5000 for the back of my 2015 Ford Motorhome with dually tires. I have a Thor Vegas 24.1 on a E350 chassis. What do I need? #88242 or #88138? What exactly is the difference in the kit? Somewhere I wrote about mounting on a Vegas: Said it is not possible due the vertical mounting brackets in the way, where Vegas floor is welded to the frame

The # AL88242 is designed to fit the E-450 and has a slightly different mounting process with different brackets. Since your 2015 Thor Vegas 24.1 is on the E-350 chassis you want to use the # AL88138. Since we do not have a specific fit for the Thor Vegas like yours I recommend checking the instructions to see if anything will interfere with the installation.
The air bags install in place of the existing jounce bumper on your motorhome. If you're worried about that vertical brace in the picture, that won't be in the way. The air bag location will be directly over the axle and that bracket is forward/behind your axle so it will not be a problem.
Along with the air bags, I also highly recommend installing an air compressor like the # AL25856. This will allow you to adjust the pressure no matter where you are from the cab of your motorhome. This is a dual path system so they can be adjusted individually or together.
