Will The Malone Standard Foam Block Kit Work With A Naked Roof With A 3 Inch Protrusion?

Question:
Hi, I want to install on naked roof, but have a protrusion on top of my roof that is almost 3” high 2-3/4”. Would this work? I’m hoping to use this as a standard carrier for paddleboard/canoe/etc. Thanks.

Without a set of crossbars, you will run into an issue with the Malone Standard Foam Block Kit for Stand-Up Paddleboards # MAL75VR on your naked roof due to the protrusion.
To get this to work with your roof, I recommend installing a set of crossbars like the:
-Rhino-Rack ROC25 Roof Rack for Naked Roofs # RR35SR.
With a set of crossbars installed you should have more than enough clearance to clear the protrusion on your roof to install # MAL75VR.
