What is the minimum dimension one can have to mount the tube out and away from trailer frame? ie: 5 inches? I understand the max extension is 13 inches. What is the minimum dimension? Thank you.

While the L-bracket of the CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons for Boat Trailers # CE27626 does angle away slightly so the exact number will vary it's right at 5 inches as the minimum distance between where it attaches and the lower portion of the upright post.
