Tow Bar to Use with etrailer Base Plate Kit that Fits 2001 Jeep Wrangler

I have a 2001 Jeep Wrangler TJ. that will be pulled from behind my Forest River Motor home. With the original TJ bumper left on and using Base Plate # 98946 will a Smitty Flat tow bar work with this base plate without any alterations. Regards,

The etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit # e98946 does fit your 2001 Jeep Wrangler TJ but it does not fit directly to a Smitty tow bar. We don't have adapter that would make this work or any similar base plates that work with that tow bar either so you'd need to use a tow bar like the etrailer SD part # e34ZR and you'd be set.
