Question:

Hi, I have a 2022 F350 with 8 Bed. Im looking for a retractable tonneau cover that will also work with a sliding rack system. The racks would have to be easily removable and be tall enough that I could carry long items that will extend to over the cab. The other challenge is that my bed rails are right about 21 from floor and Im hoping to have enough clearance for my 20.1 generator and still be able to easily open/close the cover all the way. I also want the cover to be able to lock in multiple positions as Im pulling a 5th wheel, but would like to be able to keep the cover partially closed when towing. Can you please let me know what options I have? Thanks,

For a locking retractable tonneau cover that sits above the bedrails and also has slots for a sliding ladder rack you would need the RetraxPRO XR Hard Tonneau Cover # RTT-80384. This cover sits 1" above the bedrails so you shouldn't have an issue with your generator.

As for the ladder rack I recommend the Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack for Tonneau Cover # Y01151-5855. This ladder rack has feet compatible with the t-slots of your tonneau cover to easily slide back and forth as needed. The rack height adjusts from 19" to 30" above the bedrails to match your load or gear carrying needs.
