Question:

Can I leave this in the truck bed while towing my 5th wheel? I drive a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 long bed. Thank you!

If you have an 8-foot bed 2007 Dodge Ram 3500, it truly depends on a couple things. First off, you need to make sure that the toolbox does not infere with the hitch in your bed. Since the DeeZee # DZ6170N measures 12 inches wide, you need to make sure that this width does not interfere with your hitch in any way. In order to make sure that you have enough room, I recommend measuring the distance between your truck's bulkhead and the hitch to make sure you have plenty of room. While DeeZee does not have the exact specs of the lid, it is important to note that you will need a few additional inches to accommodate the open lid.

The second thing you need to consider is clearance of the nose of your trailer when making turns. It is suggested that you have at least 5-6 inches of height above the # DZ6170N in order to assure you have space. The way to determine this is to measure 6" above your truck rails bed caps and compare it to the distance between the bottom of the trailer nose to the bed caps. As long as the difference between these two heights is 5-6" inches, you will have enough clearance for the # DZ6170N.
