Installing Aries Oval Nerf Bars On A 2002 Chevy Avalanche Z71 With Clad Moldings

Question:
Will the Aries 4445003 6” oval bars fit my Avalanche with clad moldings The instructions say to remove the rubber plug and install a clip in the adjacent small hole but mine doesn’t have the small adjacent hole Also will the brackets fit with the clad moldings The instructions shows a Avalanche without the clad moldings

I took a look at the installation manual for your Aries Oval Nerf Bars w/ Custom Installation Kit - 6" Wide - Black Aluminum - 91" Long, part # AA4445003. It seems like the adjacent small hole was only used to align the clip you are supposed to insert. I would continue with the installation as if the hole was there. With regards to whether the brackets will fit with the clad moldings, the Aries representative said it will fit. I will defer to their expertise.
