Will Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 # Y07192 Fit on Thule AeroBlade Crossbars on 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek

What is the Internal Dimensions of the Yakima RocketBox 14 Roof Top Cargo Box and will it mount on the Thule AeroBlade Load Bars - Aluminum - 53?

My technical contact at Yakima said they do not test their cargo boxes on the Thule Aeroblades, however, the Yakima RocketBox 14 will fit on Yakima Whispbars. The Aeroblade crossbars are 3-1/8 inches wide and the Whispbars are 3-5/8 inches wide, so you will be fine and the cargo box mounting hardware will fit your current crossbars. The RocketBox Pro 14 will mount to crossbars that have a center-to-center spread of between 24 and 40 inches.

The inside dimensions of the RocketBox are a bit more complex. I went to our installation department and captured the inside dimensions for you in the attached picture. The cargo box is wider at the opening than at the base. There are also the locking mechanisms that occupy some internal space.

To be on the safe side the conservative inside dimensions are 60L x 24W x 14-1/2H. Of course if you pack in flexible totes that can conform to the inside shape of the box then you will be able to utilize all of the space.

Please check your Crosstrek owners manual for your roof cargo weight limit. Keep in mind that the weight of the Rocketbox Pro 14 is 38 lbs and counts toward the vehicle roof weight capacity along with whatever cargo is loaded.
