Can Thule Elite Van XT be Installed Without Interferring with Backup Camera on 2019 MB Sprinter 2500

Question:
Hello, when I attach a hitch mounted 2-bike rack on my 2019 Sprinter, the backup camera constantly beeps when in reverse because it recognizes the rack as an obstacle. Do you know whether this rack can be installed in a way that it does not interfere with the camera when folded up without bikes? Thank you!

It's pretty safe to assume that anything installed on the rear of your 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500, including the Thule Elite Van XT # TH302043, will be in the way of your backup camera which will set off that alarm. This is just the nature of backup cameras/sensors and the only way to get around this is by disabling the alarm, but you will want to make sure you set the alarm back to "on" when you aren't carrying the bike rack.
I wish I could say there is a way to accomplish what you're wanting to do but since bike racks hang out far enough there isn't really a way around it.
