Oil Cooler and Combination Oil and Transmission Cooler Recommendations for a 2001 Chevy Silverado

Will engine oil filter sand witch adapter that comes in the oil cooler kit part #D15405 fit a 2001 Chevy Silverado. Or in other words, what combination do you recommend, separate transmission and engine oil coolers or a combination cooler. Thanks for the help!

On your 2001 Chevy Silverado, the o-ring diameter will either be 2-3/4 inches or 3-1/2 inches. Either way oil cooler kit # D15405 has both and will fit. It also comes with the proper filter thread size which will be 13/16-16, 18 mm x 1.5 mm, or 22 mm x 1.5 mm.
Going with a combination cooler for oil and transmission fluid is not a bad idea. You could use # D15903 for GM applications or # D15902 which has multiple thread sizes.
If more cooling is needed for each system you would want to go with separate coolers. I have included a link to the transmission cooler main page for you truck.
