For the absolute safest option that gets the job done, I recommend 70" Yakima Crossbars # Y00427 on your 2018 Ford F-150. These are the longest JetStream crossbars we carry and the long space will give you the crossbar length you need in order to transport your 2 36" wide kayaks on your roof in the j position or the vertical post position.

For the rest of the kit, you can still use the BaseLine Towers # Y28TRand the BaseClip Fit Kit # Y06122. You can also add theft-deterring locks with part # Y07204 to protect your rack. Since the JetStream crossbars have a full-length bottom channel in the crossbars, the longer 70" bars can attach at the feet of the BaseLine Towers. This setup fits all cab types of 2018 Ford F-150.

To mount the kayaks, I suggest the Rhino-Rack 2 Kayak Carrier # S512-S512X. With the Rhino-Rack 2, you can transport your 2 kayaks in the j-style which maximizes crossbar space if you plan to use any additional accessories. I went ahead and attached a video that shows this setup. Also, since the carrier comes with 4 tie-down straps and 4 bow/stern ties, you do not need to worry about spending money for additional ties. The Rhino-Rack 2 clamps perfectly around the Yakima JetStream crossbars.

For theft deterrence, the best way to lock the cradles is by using the etrailer Cable Lock # e98891 and looping it through the cradles and locking it around the crossbars.
