Will Pop and Lock Tailgate Power Lock # PAL8120Q Fit 2013 Chevrolet Silverado with Backup Camera
Updated 09/24/2013 | Published 09/21/2013 >
Question:
I understand from past questions that the power pop and lock for tailgate should be able to be installed with the backup camera in the tailgate. I did see a question as to the ease of install. You emailed a copy of instructions to someone else, can you do this for me so I could see if this is something I can do. Thanks. Also this unit taps into the existing lock system and works of the vehicle remote.

The Pop and Lock Custom Tailgate Power Lock for the Chevrolet Silverado, part # PAL8120Q, will operate using the OEM lock system and key fob remote that operate the door locks on your 2013 Silverado. This stainless-steel lock mechanism is compatible with the factory backup camera and installs inside the OEM tailgate handle and so resists tampering.
The Pop and Lock Tailgate Power Lock installs without drilling using included hardware and wiring; only basic hand tools are required. In a separate email I have forwarded the installation and operation instructions for your review.
