One follow up question for the Thule cargo box, does it open wide enough for loading to take full advantage of the 14" interior height?

Yes! If you have Yakima JetStream Crossbars installed on your 2002 Audi A4 Sedan with a bare roof, the Thule Pulse M # TH614 can clamp onto the crossbars with no problems. This is because the height and width of the JetStream crossbars are the exact same as the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars.
If you need a complete roof rack, you need the following components:
- Yakima JetStream Crossbars - Black - 50" Long # Y00425
- BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars - Naked Roofs # Y28TR
- 2 sets of the BaseClip Fit Kit for Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack Towers # Y27FR
- Yakima Same-Key Lock Cores # Y07204
With all these components, you can successfully mount your crossbars and Thule Pulse M on your 2002 Audi A4 Sedan.
