Question:

Comparing a 2006 Ford F250 to a 2017 Ford f250 do the two receiver hitches have the same bolt hole spacing and frame width. I understand that there may be differences in at receiver opening, bumper clearance differences, tire dia differences etc. I would please like to know just about the bolt hole spacing and frame width. The B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver # BWHDRH25230 and # BWHDRH25602 have different spacing since they are designed to fit different models. The # BWHDRH25602 will fit the 2017 Ford F-250 but not the 2006. The # BWHDRH25230 will fit the 2006 F-250 but not the 2017.

The distance between the holes across the width of the hitch is 34.376" on the # BWHDRH25230. On the # BWHDRH25602 it varies between the holes. The 1st hole 36.490", 2nd hole 36.490", 3rd hole 36.740", 4th hole 36.740", 5th hole 37.490", and the 6th hole is 36.740".
