Question:

I have a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 Carbon Pro bed and i cant seem to get any information from GM or anybody. not sure If its possible to get a 5th wheel hitch for my truck because of the carbon fiber bed. The bed is 71 from inside bulkhead to rear of bed. The trailer i am getting from a friend is a 3,870lb 5th wheel. Any help would be appreciated.

Since fifth wheel rails attach and are supported by the frame rails and not the truck bed it is possible to install a fifth wheel rail kit in a truck with a Carbon Pro bed like your 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 that has a 5-3/4 foot bed.

Since your truck bed is so short you'd need a slider hitch that slides further back than standard hitches like the Demco Hijacker AutoSlide part # DM8550040 which automatically slides back 22-1/2 as you make tight turns. Most slider hitches move about half that amount. The rails you'd need to install this in your truck is the part # DM8552034-71 which is a custom fit kit that will minimize drilling and install time.
