Large Roof Cargo Carrier Options for 2003 GMC Savana Van with Rain Gutters

Hi, I have an extended 2003 GMC savana van and I think the Yakima Mega Warrior fits the ticket but what would be the best gutter mounted racks? The roof seems to have a slight bow so I dont want to go super low profile. Im considering 3 racks so I can load up to 250#...how do I determine the max weight? Ive got a budget so cant consider the top shelf options.

To get a roof basket/rack on your 2003 GMC Savana Van that's even close to a 250 lb weight rating you're going to need to go with the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack - Gutter Mount # RR93QX which is 100" Long x 62" Wide so it's a bit larger than the Yakima MegaWarrior # Y07080-82 you were asking about. The Pioneer mounts directly to your Savana using the gutter mounts and it can handle up to 242 lbs.
The MegaWarrior you asked about is only able to handle up to 130 lbs so even if you had a roof rack system rated for 500 lbs you would only be able to safely load 130 lbs into this carrier and is why I recommended the Pioneer.
One other option would be the Surco Safari Rack 5.0 Rooftop Cargo Basket - 84" Long x 50" Wide # SU87VR which fits with the Gutter Mount Adapter # SU72VR. The biggest difference with this rack is the larger openings for the floor section. These openings can be reduced when you use the Floor Kit # SP1114 so this still might be a viable option depending on what you're looking to get out of a cargo rack. This rack does have a weight capacity of 250 lbs.
