Best Way to Transport Rooftop Cargo without a Roof Rack on My 2014 Acura MDX

Are these two items compatible? Custom DK Fit Kit for 4 Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack Legs - Naked Roof - DK400 Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 62-1/2 Long x 37 Wide x 4 Deep - 150 lbs - C18115-117

From the sound of your question, you are looking to mount the Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket # C18115-117 directly to your roof with the Custom DK Fit Kit # DK400.

However, the # DK400 fit kit only fits Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Legs # RRRLKVA along with the Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA137B-2. This setup is designed to fit your 2014 Acura MDX if you have a bare roof. The Curt Basket is not compatible with this rack because the clamps do not fit around the 3-1/8 inch wide bars. If you are set with using a roof rack with a basket, the Aluminum Cargo Basket # 288-09200 fits perfectly around the Vortex Aero crossbars.

Even though we do not carry any cargo baskets that attach directly to your bare roof without the need of crossbars, we do carry cargo bags that do.
