Platform Bike Rack for Class I Hitch of 2020 Hyundai Sonata
Question:
I have a 2020 Hyundai Sonata with a Draw Tite Class I hitch DT74MR installed. Will the Swagman XC2 S64650 work with this hitch? The hitch has a tongue weight capacity of 200lbs. The rack is listed for class II or III and weighs ~29lbs. Each of my bikes is about 28 lbs. So, the total weight should be 87 lbs, which is well under the 200 lb max. Also, the hitch doesn’t have a tab preventing Class II accessories from being installed.

Even though it would fit I can't recommend you use a Class II only bike rack like the Swagman XC2 part # S64650 in a Class I hitch like the Draw Tite # DT74MR. The most similar Class I compatible hitch bike rack I can mention for you is the Malone Runway part # MPG2149.
The XC2 used to be Class I compatible and my Dad actually uses it still in the Class I hitch of his vehicle which is interesting.
