What Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Fits My 2021 Ram 1500 with New Body Style?

I have a great Backbone solution for you. Unfortunately, the Rhino-Rack Backbone Mounting System for Pioneer Platform # RRRFRB1 does not fit your 2021 Ram 1500 new body style. The only Backbone that is confirmed to fit a new body style 2021 Ram 1500 is for a Crew Cab model. That Backbone is the # RR22YY. For the platform to go along with this, Rhino-Rack recommends using the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Roof Tray - Aluminum - 60" Long x 56" Wide # RR72TB. This platform size has been engineered to fit with the # RR22YY on your Crew Cab model.

With that being said, if you have a Quad Cab with a bare roof, there is a way to still use a Pioneer Platform with a crossbar system. Rhino-Rack makes two Pioneer Platform models that can attach to crossbars directly without the Backbone. Those are the # RR42114BF and the # RR42115BF.

If you need a compatible crossbar system for these platforms, I recommend the following setup:

Also, with the 60" length of the WingBar Evo crossbars, you have plenty of space for both the # RR42114BF or the # RR42115BF. These platforms will clamp right onto the crossbars with no issues. This roof rack comes with a 165 pound weight capacity. As with all roof racks, I recommend consulting with your truck's owner's manual to make sure your roof can handle the weight you wish to transport.
