I have a 2021 Acura RDX with a 1 1/4 hitch receiver, and I want to get the Yakima EXO Systemonly comes in 2 inch for storage and bikes. If I get a hitch adapter to make it a 2, will it decrease the tongue weight capacity ? Are there any options for me?

When it comes to using a hitch adapter to make your 1-1/4 inch hitch to a 2 inch hitch it does decrease the tongue weight by 50%. The only way you could use The Yakima EXO SwingBase Swing Away Hitch Extender - 2 inch Hitches # Y34VR would be to switch to a 2 inch trailer hitch like The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2 inch # C95CR.

The trailer hitch has a gross trailer towing weight up to 3,500 pounds and a gross tongue weight up to 350 pounds. I would check your vehicle's manual to double checking the proper towing capacity for your 2021 Acura RDX. It has a gloss black powder coat finish over the protective base coat that offers a superior rust resistance.
