Question:
My son broke off the key in the lock, so I think I need to order a whole new lock system. What part number is this? My key has the number 2862 on it. Thanks in advance for your assistance!

I have the replacement parts you need! However, if you broke off the key in the lock, the only way to replace the lock system is by drilling out the lock cores so you can switch out the cylinders. Then, you will be able to have a whole new system. If you need help drilling out the lock, I recommend reaching out to a local locksmith.
If you have a single lock core on your Sportrack cargo box, you simply need the Replacement Lock Cylinder and Premium Key for Thule One-Key Systems - Key N217 # 1500004217 along with the Universal Change Key for Thule One Key Locks # 853-1251. These come with all the parts you need for installing a new lock and key.
If you happen to have 2 lock cores on your Sportrack cargo box, you need the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders - Qty 2 # TH450200. This kit comes with 2 keys, a change key, and 2 cylinders.
Since Thule took over operations of Sportrack, these Thule locks and keys are compatible with Sportrack products.
