Recommended Trailer Hitch For A 2015 Ram 2500 With A Factory Hitch

Question:

I have a 2015 RAM 2500 crew cab diesel with the factory class V 2.5” hitch and a HDX bumper that was installed using existing holes from the factory bumper. I want to install a class 4 or 5 with a 2” receiver. Ideally I would like to replace the existing hitch with no drilling required. I see they make hitches that go under the existing hitch also, so am looking for possibilities for my scenario with no drilling. . Thanks in advance.

My trailer hitch recommendation for your 2015 Ram 2500 with a factory hitch is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V XD - 2", part # C15409. It has a maximum tongue weight of 2,550 lbs and a maximum gross trailer weight of 17,000 lbs. You will be able to install this trailer hitch without drilling.
