Question:
I have a fantastic vent fan, powered temp sensing ceiling fan. when it is in use and the lid is open, the height is close to 12.25 inches tall off of the roof. Every vent cover I find is between 9 and ten inches of height. Is there a taller cover to clear that height? 2006 forest river day dreamer

Expert Reply:
The tallest vent cover that we have is 10-1/4" tall. The Fan-Tastic Vent Ultra Breeze Trailer Roof Vent Cover # DMC38FR is that 10-1/4" in height. While it still does not allow for the Fan-Tastic vent lid to fully extend, we have been told by Fan-tastic vent that the fan still gets the proper air flow. The lid not being fully extended does not affect the motor of the fan either.
There is not an option that will allow your fan lid to fully open to 12-1/4".
