Troubleshooting Dual Motor Slide Out Malfunctions

Updated 07/23/2025 | Published 03/21/2022

Question:

I have a 2013 Winnebago Vista with inwall Lippert slide out motors and Dual Motor Synchronous Velocity Slide Controller in a storage compartment. The driver side slide will only go in or out when the velocity controller reset lights both red and green are flashing. When the controller reset lights are not flashing, the slide will only move a few inches and stop with one side moving a couple more inches than the other side. Thank You for any suggestions on getting the slide out back to working properly!

It sounds to me like you either have a wiring issue, which could be just a lose connection or kink/damage to the wire, or the slide controller is going out and will need to be replaced. I would first check all your wiring and ensure there isn't anything getting kinked or cut causing a lost connection to the controller and then check the power running to the controller and to the motors.

If the wiring is fine and the power is good then the controller is the issue and will need to be replaced with the Lippert Replacement Controller for In-Wall Slide-Out - V-Sync II - Version C2 # LC211852

Mini Winnebago slide out retracted this morning now this afternoon it will not slide out. I only have 4.5 V coming into my lippert synchronization controller. Checked all my fuses, even moved the hot wire to a different circuit just to double check. Also, I switched the wires from my slide out controller to my awningcontroller. Still doesn’t work. Any help would be appreciated.

@Jeff Hows the battery? It should be feeding it 12 volts so if its only at 4.5 volts that pretty well dead and would need to be charged.

@Jeff It's drawing power from the battery though and not a converter correct?
