Replacement Trailer Brake Assemblies For Dexter 4,400LB Axle On Grand Design Camper

Question:

I have a Dexter 4400# axle on my Grand Design with 10 x 2.25 brakes. Are the Lippert self adjusting # 296650 \ 296649 3500# brakes a compatable replacement? I can not find the bolt pattern measurement to confirm? Mine is 2 7\8 across the top, 3 1\4 across the bottom and 3 from top to bottom on each side.

You are going to want the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # K23-478-479 for your Grand Design camper with the Dexter 4,400LB axle. These brakes have the 2-7/8" mounting bolt hole centers for the top, 3-1/4" across the bottom and 3" from top to bottom. This is specific to your Dexter axle as the Lippert brakes that you were looking at only have the standard 2-7/8" for all 4 bolt holes.
