So what you want are tires with a capacity that, when fully inflated, meet or exceed the GVWR of your trailer. If your 205/75R14 load range C tires do not have that capacity then yes, you should definitely upgrade.

For example, the load range C Castle Rock ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire # LHCK201 has a 1,760 lbs capacity, so four of these would be 7,040 lbs, which is less than your 7,250 lb GVWR. So if that is the case for your tires I highly recommend upgrading to the load range D Westlake tire:

- Westlake ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # 274-000012

The Westlake has a 2,040 lb capacity per tire so it will exceed your GVWR, and I really like because of its deep 10/32" tread depth, which is the most tread depth for this size tire, offering the best grip, particularly in wet weather.
