No, the lid for the MaxxAir MaxxFan Mini Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # MA00-04301M has to be closed while driving. The workaround to this is to install the MaxxAir FanMate RV and Trailer Roof Vent Cover # MA00-955001. This cover is designed specifically to fit over your vent to allow you to utilize your vent while traveling or in any inclement weather. It installs using EZClip pins that will simply slide through the four connection points already on your MaxxAir Vent.
