Running and Brake Lights on 2013 Kia Soul Not Working After Installing Curt Trailer Wiring Harness

Installed curt t connector 56023 on 2013 Kia soul. All trailer lights work but no running lights or brake lights on car. There is power from T to tail light assembly but lights dont work.

I spoke with my contact at Curt and he stated that if your 2013 Kia Soul has LED tail lights then there have been some issues with the wiring harness. If you do not have LED lights then it is likely a bad converter and it will need to be replaced.
For a model with LED tail lights use # 118637.

how do i tell if my 2014 kia soul has led tail lites or not...the tail bulbs look like old syle 1156 or 1157 push in and turn bulbs
