Correct Wiring Configuration for the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness on a 2012 Ford Explorer
Updated 02/21/2022 | Published 02/19/2022 >
Question:
I am installing a Curt Custom Wiring Connector, part C56306. The instructions that come with the product suggest a different wiring configuration by color and number than what is listed on the connector itself. Which is accurate and should be how I wire the device? Thanks

Expert Reply:
When installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56306 (which is custom fit for your Explorer), you will want to follow the written instructions that came with the harness and ignore the connector. The connector is not necessarily a custom fit item like the harness and instruction are.
