Question:

Can I use bearing buddies on my 5th wheel. I have a 17 rim and the dust cap is 2 1/2 inches.

As long as a Bearing Buddy application is available that will fit the bore of your hubs, you can certainly use them on your 5th wheel.

In order to recommend the correct fit for your needs, I'll need to know the inside diameter of your hub bore where the dust cap fits. Due to the tight fit, this needs to be a highly accurate measurement out to 2 or 3 decimal places so measuring with a digital caliper like # PTW80157 is necessary. Or, if you can provide the reference number from the cage of your outer wheel bearing, I can determine your hub bore, and which Bearing Buddy will work for you.

Given the 2-1/2 measurement you provided, the most likely fit would be # BB2441SS which is compatible with a LM67048 and 15123 outer bearings which are commonly found on 4,400-lb, 5,200-lb, 6,000-lb and 7,000-lb Dexter axles.
