I plan on purchasing a base plate and wiring kit. For a 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 my question is how difficult is the installation of the wiring kit are there good detailed instructions

For tow bar wiring for your 2020 Ram 1500 like the Roadmaster Diode Kit part # RM-15267 we have an install video that shows the entire process on a Ram just like yours that I linked to this page. The install is not overly difficult at all.
For a Roadmaster base plate kit we also have the part # RM-522203-5 which I attached an install video for this as well.
