Swapping A Curt A16 5th Wheel Hitch From Nissan Titan XD Legs To Standard Fit

Question:

I need to convert my curt a16 hitch. Currently fits 2016 titan XD OE system. Buying 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty and would like to use the hitch. I know I need legs, brackets and rails. What do you recommend with minimum drilling and install issues?

To make your Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Nissan Titan XD Towing Prep Package # C16520-16026 compatible with your 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty you'll first to replace the Titan legs with standard legs, part # C16920.

For the rails I recommend going with a custom fit kit like part # BWRVK2402. The brackets in this kit are specifically designed to align with your F-250's frame and utilize the factory holes to bolt through, minimizing drilling to just the bed. Not having to drill into the frame will also cut down on your installation time.

I also recommend installing an in-bed 7-way socket like part # C57008. This custom fit harness will simply plug in-line with your factory 7-way for a fast and easy install. Having an in-bed 7-way will make it much easier to hook up your fifth wheel wiring to your F-250 and prevent your cord from getting kinked or damaged like it would if you had to route it around the tailgate and plug it into the factory 7-way.
