Question:
I just bought a new class C on a Ford E450 chassis . The camper has a a hitch for towing . I cannot find a brake controller . I have bought several Ford P/U trucks and the controller was standard . Would the camper be pre wired for the controller ?

Expert Reply:
If the motorhome has a factory trailer connector which most do then odds are there is pre-wiring for a trailer brake controller. The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 is a great option for this and one of the most widely used. The correct plug-in adapter for this controller will come down to the year of the motorhome; part # 3034-P for 2009-2019 is most common.
