Troubleshooting DVD Freezing But CD Playing Fine on Jensen Stereo

Question:
I replaced my Jensen Media Pro 5000 with a Jensen AWM975 because it would freeze when playing a DVD. Now the AWM975 freezes also, what can be done to fix the problem? If you wait a minute it will reload and start over. A music CD works good.

Is it the same DVD that freezes? If that's the case then it sounds like your DVD disc is scratched or smudged and is causing the player to not read it. You can try cleaning the bottom of the disc to see if that fixes things. I really think this is the case, especially since a CD will work just fine.
If this isn't the case then the best unit to replace your stereo is the Jensen RV Stereo # JWM60A according to Jensen.
