Recommended Replacement For A Magnadyne RV5090 RV Stereo System

Question:

Is there an alternative replacement for a 2015 Linear series RV5090 Rev D media center.? Mine has multiple issues. Is it possible to obtain the same wiring harness connectors? Thank you

The Magnadyne RV5090 is definitely a giant brick so you'll want to go with a Double Din option like the Jensen RV Stereo w DVD Player # JWM60A to maintain the same footprint. The cutout dimensions I could find for it were 9-1/4" W x 6-1/8" H x 5" D, which would match up nicely with the # JWM60A cutout dimensions of 9" W x 6" H x 5-1/2" D.

As for the wiring, virtually no stereo systems use the same wiring harness so you will need to splice in the provided wiring harness during installation. That being said, it's honestly super easy if you get the wiring diagram for both stereos and just match them up one wire at a time. I've attached a video below where I'll walk you through the process on another stereo system at the 5:20 minute mark.

There wasn't a great wiring diagram for the RV5090 but I've attached the speaker wiring color diagram below as well as the wiring diagram for the # JWM60A. The Red wire on the RV5090 is the 12v power and the black is your ground wire.
