Question:
I am looking for a 9-10 thousand lbs boat winch. I was looking at the Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Winch - Marine - 9,000 lbs Item # DL25215. My concern is I was looking for a steel cable vs a strap, my current manual strap winch seems to stretch when the boat is pulled up onto level ground so there is always a few inches to the bow stop. My thought is a steel cable wont stretch and hold the boat tight to the stop.

We have the Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Winch # DL24870 that comes with a 7/32" diameter x 25' long steel stranded cable. This has the same 3,000lb load capacity as the StrongArm # DL25215 that you were looking at with the strap. Maximum capacity for both winches is considered 9,000lbs when using high-quality roller guides on your trailer.
The ComeUp DV-4500i Trailer Winch # CU644512 is our strongest electric winch with a steel cable. This winch is rated at 4,500lbs, which would give it a 13,500lb rating using high-quality roller guides.
